Chicken Team - The Trich Sai public park/ playground.
The guys were mad at me because I did not invite them to my last photo shoot (haha), so I decided to host another session. This time I did not shoot a lot, but anyway the location was pretty interesting so, here comes the blog post.
1. Location:
You can find the place here: Google Maps
Nothing too fancy, it’s just an open space for people to exercise and chill. What really attracted me were the walls, which are all covered in graffiti pictures, and the wide yard which allows the whole squad to hang out and take pictures at the same time without distracting the residences.
Moreover, the West Lake is right in front of the playground. If you are lucky, the sunset here is beautiful, and the enormous lake is a perfect material for landscape photography.
2. Chicken Team:
The whole gang was there, so you know, a lot of people. I didn’t even bother to count.
3. Gears:
- Sony A7ii.
- Lens: ZA 16-35 f4.
- Flash: Godox tt600s, tt685s.
- Trigger: Godox X1Ts.
The shoot was fun. We had 3 models and like 7-10 (seriously I don’t remember) photographers spreading all around the playground and the lake’s bank.
Here is my one and only photo taken that day.

Tips (updated anytime I could think of
something):
-
It’s a playground, people come there to exercise
and hang out, so maybe you should scout the location a little to pick the perfect
time in the day when it is not too crowded. A lazy Sunday morning should be
fine. Any afternoon from 4pm should be avoided.
-
The graffiti works are still “under construction”.
You can meet some of the artists dropping by to retouch their work. Nice guys,
say hi and maybe they’ll let you borrow their cool stuffs for the posing
models.
No public restroom, so bring your own booth if the model has to change clothes.
